Hello everyone,

I’m planning to apply for Google Summer of Code 2026 with Swift and wanted to ask if there are any official or community-recommended proposal templates that previous contributors have used successfully.

I’ve gone through the ideas list and started discussions around potential project areas, but I want to make sure my proposal is structured in a way that aligns with what mentors typically expect from a strong application.

If anyone could share:

  • A proposal template

  • Sample accepted proposals from past years

  • Any guidelines or best practices specific to Swift’s GSoC applications

it would be really helpful.

I’d appreciate any direction or advice from past contributors or mentors on how to approach writing an effective proposal.

I was also looking for some resources on how to write a good proposal and here’s what I came across:
