Every year we lock down the merge access during the US holidays for everyone to enjoy time off and avoid returning to broken builds. This year, we are going to do the same by disabling the merge access during the following times:

First round:
Nov 20th, 2025 - 9 PM PST merge access disabled
Nov 30th, 2025 - 9 PM PST merge access enabled

Second round:
Dec 22nd, 2025 - 9 PM PST merge access disabled
Jan 1st, 2026 - 9 PM PST merge access enabled

All repositories in The Swift Programming Language · GitHub and branches will be locked.

  • main , release/6.2 and release/6.3 branches will be locked.
  • For the llvm-project, stable/21.x, swift/release/6.2, and swift/release/6.3 will be locked.
