Hi everyone,

It’s that time of year again: the leaves are falling, the days are getting shorter, and the FOSDEM Call for Devrooms is open again!

We had our first devroom last year, and it was an instant success (reports here, here, and here). FOSDEM really is a great opportunity for us to showcase some of the lesser-known parts (and strengths!) of our ecosystem, and to mingle with other communities. So yes, we are definitely applying again this year! However, do keep in mind that devrooms are in high demand, and the hosting university only has a limited number of rooms available, so all we can do for now is wait, hope, and cross our fingers!

While we do that, feel free to share your input on the following questions:

  • What topics would you like to see covered in a potential devroom this year?
  • What other (non-Swift) topics are you interested in learning more about at FOSDEM?
  • Where do you see opportunities to connect and mingle with other communities?

Swift on Android would be of definite interest to the FOSDEM crowd!

So, the Swift room was not accepted this year, or the accepted rooms list is not yet complete?

We didn’t get a devroom, sadly a few other languages also didn’t.
