@flash1729 You can set the notification status for individual categories, and 'watching first post' will let you know whenever a new top-level topic is created in whatever category you set it for. I might recommend doing it for Announcements as well as Announcements if you want to get a notification/email for all community updates.
Both of these combined look like they'd likely add up to 2-3 emails a month unless traffic increases dramatically for some reason.
