Hi everyone,
Since it was formed this past March, the Testing Workgroup has been meeting every other Monday to discuss topics related to Swift Testing, XCTest, and testing in Swift in general. We've helped develop and review 10 proposals (with a few others in the pipeline), discussed longer-term areas of interest, and welcomed a few guests to share their thoughts.
Those of us on the workgroup would like to try something new and begin regularly posting here on the Forums shortly before meetings as a "heads up"—both to raise visibility that the meetings are happening at all, and so that anyone who's interested can join and participate in discussions.
Next meeting
The workgroup will be meeting tomorrow—Monday, November 17, 2025 at 1:05pm PT. A few topics I anticipate we'll talk about include:
- ST-0016: Test cancellation
- Polling confirmations (2nd pitch)
- Conditionally saving attachments (pitch)
- Tracking the execution time of Swift tasks, as it relates to parallelized tests
There may be other topics as well, and we try to leave time for anyone (member or guest) to suggest a topic or share their experience.
How to participate
Meetings are virtual over video call and last one hour. If you'd like to join, see instructions at the bottom of Community participation.
Thanks,
Stuart
