Swift Server Meetup 24 April - the agenda is here ๐Ÿ‘‡

Hey Swift Server Community!

It's time for our first online meetup! We're keeping things simple and informal, so here are the details:

When

The meetup will happen on April 24th, 2024, at the following times 7 pm CST / 6 pm BST / 10 am PST

What

Using Swift on Portable Linux Devices
In this talk, software engineer Jim Schultz will take us through their use of Swift on Linux. Heโ€™ll discuss using Swift across multiple platforms and devices, including the cloud to iOS. How using Swift across all these platforms helps them achieve their goals, and finally how he uses Swift for portable Linux devices.

Server Side Swift with Vapor
Learn about Vapor, directly from Tim Condon, co-creator of the project. Vapor is a server-side Swift framework for building APIs and backends. By attending this talk, you'll see how easy it is to build a backend quickly using Swift.

Ask me anything
The Swift Server Working Group members will answer your questions about using Swift on the Server

Where

It'll be streamed live on YouTube, and the video will be available on-demand afterwards. Here's the link:

Join us

This meetup is open to everyone โ€“ app developers, DevOps engineers, framework and library developers, regardless of your level or experience. We want to create a space for learning, exchanging ideas, and networking around server-side Swift development, deployment, and operations.

If you're doing cool stuff with server-side Swift in your organization, or if you're working on a new library, we'd love to have you present at one of our future meetups. Just let us know!

That's it for now. We're excited to meet you all on April 24th!

Cheers,
Joannis and Seb
