If you're going anyway, let's grab a coffee/drink!
Here is the schedule: FOSDEM 2025 - Swift
Kind regards!
We also have talks on other tracks at FOSDEM if you're curious!
- Foreign Function and Memory APIs and Swift/Java interoperability - FOSDEM 2025 - Foreign Function and Memory APIs and Swift/Java interoperability
- Incremental Memory Safety in an Established Software Stack: Lessons Learned from Swift - FOSDEM 2025 - Incremental Memory Safety in an Established Software Stack: Lessons Learned from Swift
Just a quick note regarding rejected talks:
We had enough submissions to fill a whole-day track. However, it's really hard to get a devroom at FOSDEM, so to increase our chances, we only asked for a half-day room. That worked, but unfortunately, it also meant that we had to reject a lot of talks that we would love to have accepted, if we had more time on the schedule.
I know how demotivating it is to get a rejection email (I've had plently of those myself), so let's hope we can make this devroom a recurring event!
This is very exciting! Will these be recorded and made available to the general public?
Most (all ?) sessions from last years are indeed available.
Sessions are also streamed live (I think for all rooms).
Yes, all sessions are streamed live and recorded.
The videos of the 2025 DevRoom are available now:
Very much enjoyed attending the Swift DevRoom this year. I was wondering if there are plans to have one again for FOSDEM 2026?
We would like to have one again, but that decision is up to FOSDEM of course. Weβre currently waiting for the devrooms to be decided.
