Hello, Swift Community,
The review for SE-0403 ran from July 17 to July 28. The proposal has been returned for revision.
While there was general support for the proposal, there were a few items that were unaddressed as C++ interop has been moved out of the experimental category. There were some questions about how the support would properly integrate multi-language cases as well as with plugins.
Once the proposal has clarified and demonstrated the integration with plugins and C++ Interop, the revised proposal will undergo another round of review.
As always, thank you for your participation in the Swift Evolution Process.

@ncooke3 You are a saint for starting this implementation; absolute game changer for us! Looking forward to future updates. I wish I knew where to start to lend a hand but I don't know the first thing about the underpinnings.

Where does this stand these days? I’ve just run into the need to add C/C++ shim code to my third Swift wrapper of an existing C library. Of course I can make another module for the C code, but that seems like such a heavy-handed solution.
