I made Regex to test Swift Regex patterns while keeping sample text on my Mac.
Paste the text, type a pattern, and Regex shows empty, invalid, zero-match, and matching states as I type. It highlights every match or one capture group from 0–8. I can toggle the i, s, and m matching options, preview $0–$8 replacements without changing the pasted text, and copy or paste escaped patterns.
Patterns, test data, and replacement previews stay in the app. Regex has no uploads, account, cloud sync, network service, or app analytics. Optional workspace recovery is off by default and keeps one workspace in the app sandbox when enabled.
Regex requires macOS 14.2 and costs US$13.99 as a one-time Mac App Store purchase.
I made the app and am happy to answer questions here.
