Option to hide threads without reporting and removing for all users?

Hi! There's a recent thread here with a lot of activity that (IMO) is trending in a direction where it adds no value for me and I no longer want to see it. I could choose to report it, but the person that posted it (cleverly) accused the Swift Community of not being open to criticism (which would imply that removing the thread would then somehow feed into this theory for this person to them come back and roast the community again because of how "unfair" we all are).

If we have to leave threads like this up and give these engineers space to just kind of rant and rave… do I then have a space here to rant and rave about those threads (and my rants and raves get to stay up)?

At the bottom of threads there are notification options which should include the ability to mute.

Regarding your meta-point, if there are CoC violations they should be flagged to moderators for attention so that they can take appropriate action regardless of the narrative you worry it might fuel. Perceived unfairness is not a shield for proper moderation of the forums!
