So why is the NS prefix being used on a brand new API?
After all the effort of "the great renaming" the NS prefix continues to live on.

The Great Renaming was only about Foundation (and libdispatch), not the UI frameworks of Apple’s platforms, AppKit, UIKit, or WatchKit.
