Once again the SSWG is excited to announce that our next sync, on the 3rd of June will be available to anyone from the Swift community who is interested. The meeting will be held on Zoom from 2pm to 3pm PST.
You are welcome to just observe but we will ask for any additional agenda items at the start of the meeting or you can add them to this thread. At the discretion of SSWG members, these may be discussed after existing business, time permitting. Company confidential matters will not be discussed.
Thank you for opening this meeting to the wider Swift community.
Is there a draft or preliminary agenda that can be posted ahead of the meeting?
One topic I would welcome, either for this meeting or a future SSWG discussion, is how the accepted Swift Evolution vision, A Vision for Networking in Swift, might connect with the Server ecosystem over time — especially around currency types, adapter boundaries, SwiftNIO interoperability, and network infrastructure/control-plane use cases.
My own interest here is practical: I have been working on an SSH/NETCONF client, recently released swift-cidr, and would like to explore Swift implementations of infrastructure protocols such as BGP-LS and RPKI-RTR.
I would be happy to contribute perspective from the network-architecture side if that would be useful to the group.
