No more than 3 consecutive replies are allowed

Over on the “Improving Float.random(in:)” thread, the last 3 posts are mine. Two yesterday, and one earlier today. Now I have a further update, which is not an edit of a previous post.

However, when I tried to post it, the forum software would not let me. Instead there was a message saying:

No more than 3 consecutive replies are allowed. Please edit your previous reply, or wait for someone to reply to you.

Is this something the admins have the ability to change?

I'm no mod, but I posted a reply so that you can post yours.

Some niche feedback here would be I would like if we could somehow grant an exception to this rule for proposal authors that want to post more than three consecutive replies to a proposal review thread. Maybe we don't have that level of granularity to customize that rule… but I would like to be able to cycle through many comments on a thread with "atomic" replies that are not aggregated into one "mega reply" to fit under the limit. As a reader this actually helps me when I'm reading threads if replies are relatively self-contained ideas. I also want to think about the long term implications where review threads can become important records that engineers might want to come back to in the future to link back to details. If a permalink to a thread reply has multiple ideas and conversations happening in one place that can create more noise for engineers that attempt to link back in the future.

Not a big blocker for me… but if anyone else was hoping this rule could be relaxed here I would be a plus one vote on that. Thanks!

Does Discourse have any sort of "blog" feature we could leverage for this sort of pattern?
