Hi everyone! I am looking to get started with contributing to the Swift compiler and tool chain. I have a foundational background in C++, Git, and Data Structures & Algorithms.
I am currently reading through the contributing guide and setting up the build dependencies locally. Are there any active mentor groups, or specific sub-systems within the compiler that are highly recommended for newcomers to start exploring?
Thanks!

There is a mentorship project and most toolchain repos have a list of good first issues for new contributors to try their hand at.
First, build the toolchain for yourself, and see what repos it's building, then decide which of those most interest you: whether the syntax parser, the Testing or Foundation frameworks or the package manager and build tool. All are written in Swift and so much depends on your interest, so take a look at what they do and see what most intrigues you.
