My only regret is that I have too much love to give

An error occurred: Wow! You’ve been sharing a lot of love! You’ve reached the maximum number of likes within a 24 hour period, but as you gain trust levels, you’ll earn more daily likes. You’ll be able to like posts again in 1 hour.

…why? Why is there a limit on how many posts I can ?

How do I gain "trust levels"? Is that, like, an experience-based progression or are we doing milestone-based? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

IIRC you regain half your like slots after a short rest :)

Ugh, I want to  that comment but of course I cannot.

I'm not sure if any of these settings have been customized for the Swift forums (or to what extent they can be?), but there's more detail on trust levels here.

ETA:

Admins can change these thresholds by searching for tl1 in site settings.

So looks like there is some ability to customize, so not sure if the exact thresholds listed at the link apply to the Swift forums.

P.S., as I suspected, you've already achieved the level of participation necessary for 'regular' status, so it appears you may just have to be more discerning with your hearts (barring a change in the forum settings).

I don't know why there's a rate limit to that for regular users, but I don't know if there's anything we can do anything about it.

This is the funniest post. I legit thought we were about to get a feelings dump — reddit style. Anyway hopefully someone can let him love a little more?

I’m guessing a reason could be to avoid artificially boosting posts using things like bots. Posts with high like counts get included in the weekly summary email if I’m not mistaken.
