Attendance: @tomerd, @tanner0101, @Chris_Bailey, @johannesweiss (@IanPartridge gave his inputs ahead of time)

Naming:

  • summary: there are no good solutions so we need a compromise
  • we might be overthinking the problem but existing clashes have shown how hard it is to unbreak a clash
  • after a lot of discussion we came to the conclusion that 'despite nobody liking cutesy names very much there are the most lightweight workable solution'. However we won't prescribe cute names
  • try to stay unique, cutesy/clearly unique name preferred for the time being

HTTP client:

  • ACTION [Johannes]: talk to Artem offline
  • vote: unanimously accepted to sandbox, precondition: rename [JW (3rd July) done now] & minimum reqs [JW (3rd July) done]
  • time box for name finding and other faffing: 1 week, then tag

APNS:

  • ACTION [Tom]: check minimum reqs
  • ACTION [Tanner]: check naming
  • unanimous vote (Ian voting offline): accepted to sandbox, precondition naming [JW (3rd July) brainstorming has started] & minimum reqs [JW (3rd July) done now]

Redis:

  • ACTION [Tom & Tanner]: check minimum reqs
  • ACTION [Tanner]: check in if he's happy with naming
  • unanimous vote (Ian voting offline): accepted to sandbox, precondition minimum reqs [JW (3rd July) done now]

Postgres:

  • going well, quite a few Vapor 4 alpha testers

Statsd:

  • small, not much feedback but probably won't be much

Comms:

  • Tanner: approved 6 packages so far, so it's time to do some comms, about the success we had so far as forums post
  • Tom & Johannes: awesome idea
  • Tanner leading the effort

ServerSide.swift

  • all parties (Vapor, Kitura, Apple) planning to attend but not sorted out
  • ACTON [Tanner]: ask Logan what he thinks about giving SSWG update
