Introduction: iOS Developer Eager to Contribute to Swift Open Source

Dear Swift Community,

I am Priyanshu Singh, an iOS developer with extensive expertise in both UIKit and SwiftUI frameworks. Over the years, I have led the development of several high-profile applications, demonstrating my ability to deliver user-centric and scalable solutions.

While I have a strong background in iOS development, I am new to contributing to Swift's open-source projects. I am eager to leverage my experience to collaborate with the community and contribute meaningfully to the Swift ecosystem.

As I look forward to participating in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2025 with the Swift organization, I am particularly interested in:

  • Developing Migration Tools: Creating utilities to assist developers in transitioning from UIKit to SwiftUI seamlessly.
  • Building Reusable SwiftUI Components: Designing a library of customizable SwiftUI components to enhance development efficiency.
  • Enhancing SwiftUI Documentation: Contributing to comprehensive guides and tutorials to support developers new to SwiftUI.

I am enthusiastic about collaborating with fellow developers and mentors to drive innovation and excellence within the Swift community. Thank you for considering my introduction. I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of Swift.

Best regards,
Priyanshu Singh

Hi @PriyanshuSingh,
the listed ideas are not projects listed on Swift.org - Project Ideas for GSoC 2025

Especially things like SwiftUI are not really part of the "Swift project" which centers itself around the language and tools supporting it. It might be easier if you pick an existing project and see if you can prepare yourself and make an application rather than propose new project ideas.
