Hi everyone,
I’ve released Swift-JSON 1.0.0, an Apache-2.0 package for applications where numeric precision, Unicode identity and resource limits matter.
A concrete example: 9007199254740993 remains distinct from 9007199254740992. Object keys with different Unicode scalar sequences retain their identities, even when Swift’s native String equality considers them equivalent.
The package provides four independently selectable products:
-
JSON: strict parsing/writing, exact decimal values, native Codable, Pointer and presence-aware access.
-
JSONSchema: offline Draft 2020-12 compilation and validation with immutable, shareable plans.
-
JSONStreaming: pull-driven processing, NDJSON and top-level array streaming with explicit document completion.
-
JSONPatch: transactional JSON Patch and Merge Patch.
Operations use finite resource profiles, support cancellation and expose reports of charged work. Schema invalidity remains separate from operational failures such as budget exhaustion.
The current baseline is Swift 6.4+ and macOS/SDK 27+. The root package has no external package dependencies.

I’m the maintainer and would welcome discussion—particularly feedback on API ergonomics, the resource-budget model and real-world JSON edge cases. Reproducible issues and small example integrations would be especially useful.
