I’m new to the forums and created an account specifically to ask if there’s anything I could do, to help with swift foundation? Are there any tasks, that are suitable for newcomers?

@Tony_Parker I'd also like to get involved. Would it be worth creating a “good first issue” label or similar for the issues in the repo? I'd be happy to contribute missing test cases or documentation to begin with if that's something that's interesting to the team.

It's good feedback that we should have some more "first issue" labels. I'll take a look at some tasks and see if we can get some of those kinds of bugs in there.
Some things off the top of my head are the usual documentation and additional testing, but I realize those aren't the most fun to start out with. 
A lot of the tasks in the tracker right now are pretty broad ones to port major pieces of missing functionality.
