Hello Everyone

Hello Everyone
I accepted in GSoC and I want to contributing and I have proposal about runtime performance and memory management

Edit: the first message was edited and is now clearer that it’s about attempting to join gsoc. I’m leavingy original response here which attempted to clarify wording that implied that swift had already published accepted projects.

I'm sorry but this is not true.

I'm the organization admin for Swift participating in GSoC and this claim is verifiably false and could be misleading to other participants. I also don't even see your proposal in the sent in applications.

Applications are flowing in until April 8th, and results are announced only on May 8th, any claim to be "accepted" before this date is objectively false. You can confirm the schedule on the GSoC website here: Google Summer of Code 2025 Timeline  |  Google for Developers

Is this some attempt at an April fools joke? Please refrain from misleading other applicants about how the GSoC application process works as for many this is an important chance to kick off their careers.

AI bot? This part seems suspiciously vague, "My project will focus on [improving compiler performance, enhancing Swift tooling]," and adding the brackets is very weird.

Hi Youssef!
Thanks for clarifying and sorry for the strict message I did there. I didn’t want other applicants to think they missed a deadline or that there’s some other selection process.

All is ok and we look forward to your application! If you have any questions about a specific project idea you can start a thread and we’ll do our best to provide hints about polishing it up. Thank you!
