Develop apps with swift 2 on ubuntu 14.04 LTS x86_32 bit

It is possible that Swift 2 functions on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS x86_32?

Note that Swift does support additional architectures on other Apple platforms (32- and 64-bit ARM for iOS and i386 for iOS simulator). Adding x86_32 Linux should be easier than adding a brand new OS or architecture would be.

There is a thread that Chris Lattner already responded to on this topic (tried to find it be it eludes me currently). It might not be on this exact mailing list.

My understanding is that x86_64 is currently the only thing supported. That the Apple devs are not going to be working on x86 support, due to lack of bandwidth and other higher priorities, and that the community is free to provide it. However patches related to making it work on that, and other, architectures are welcome.
