Since the discussion on the COM vision seems to veer into the details, I'm attaching some design notes on the COM interoperability and how we might be able to design it in more depth. This will need to be split up into a series of proposals that we can implement and evolve. The hope is that this documentation will help people get a bit more visibility into how the vision might be actualized.
