“Automatically removed quote of whole previous post.”

I have noticed some of my posts being automatically edited by the forum, immediately after posting, to remove quotes of the previous post. Quotes, mind you, that I manually and intentionally chose to place there, by physically selecting the text I want quoted, and clicking the “Quote” button to create a reply with the quoted text.

For example, it happened on this post. The edit-log on these posts shows, eg:

I would like to request that we remove this behavior. The forum should not automatically edit people’s posts.

I've made a change that should hopefully avoid that behavior.
