The review of SE-0448: Regex Lookbehind Assertions concluded on October 1, 2024. The language steering group has decided to accept the proposal.
There was positive feedback during the pitch phase, and essentially no comments during the review period, other than a question about the details of availability checking for the new feature. I received a number of comments off the forums which were all either positive or some variant of "I thought we already accepted this, why does it need a new proposal?" (answer: features accepted but not implemented require a new proposal if a sufficient period of time has elapsed).
