The amendment review of SE-0368: StaticBigInt ended on February 13th; discussion was light but positive, with a lot of discussion about the existing behavior of prefix + and - in the language.
There were two alternatives surfaced during the review:
- Provide a
prefix func +in an extension onExpressibleByIntegerLiteral: [Amendment] SE-0368: StaticBigInt - #5 by xwu - Handle prefix + on integer literals in the parser: [Amendment] SE-0368: StaticBigInt - #6 by John_McCall
The Language Workgroup believes these alternatives are interesting directions to explore, but they would each warrant dedicated proposals as the impact of these changes extends beyond the addition of StaticBigInt. Therefore, the amendment to remove prefix + from StaticBigInt is accepted.
