# Wasm is not mentioned in swift 6.0 release

I think there is some progress in swift wasm in the 6.0 version, but why it's not mentioned in any document like [Swift.org - Announcing Swift 6](https://www.swift.org/blog/announcing-swift-6/) ?

My understanding is that [work is still ongoing](https://github.com/swiftlang/swift/pull/76544) before an initial official release can be made, though [there have been unofficial releases for years](https://github.com/swiftwasm/swift/releases).

@kateinoigakukun, any timeline on an official Wasm release on [swift.org](http://swift.org)?
