Some topics I think are important:
-
The first beta of the next LTS NDK 30 was just released, with the final release likely in 2-3 months. We should discuss how we're going to integrate it into the SDK release process.
-
I have updated the Windows trunk snapshot toolchain CI, which builds and tests various Android SDKs, successfully to NDK 28c and to compile against Android API 24, and the official Android CI that runs on linux is ready to update to the same config, just waiting on the CI team to merge my pull. Now that that work is done, the next steps like API 23 need to be discussed.
-
We need to update and add more swift.org website documentation for the upcoming 6.3 SDK release, including for swift-java after its recent first tag and @gabriele's Android debugging work.
-
I will update on my work to add more Android CI on GitHub, that will build the trunk Android SDK regularly with various NDKs and flag any issues earlier than the usually twice-daily official CI.
-
We have been discussing putting together an Android blog post for the 6.3 release, we'll need to assemble that.
