Official images are now available for download for both Xcode's supported platforms and various versions of Ubuntu.
Swift 4.2 is a major waypoint release towards reaching ABI stability in Swift 5. Beyond important changes towards that goal, Swift 4.2 also has several significant improvements to the quality of tooling when developing with Swift including much faster build times and improved debugging support.
