The review of SE-478: Default actor isolation typealias ran from April 21st through May 5th, 2025.
Feedback for the feature was generally positive, and the LSG accepts that this is a problem worth solving, but we and the author are not sure that the proposed syntax (a magic "typealias" that doesn't actually operate on proper types) is the one we want.
Accordingly, we have returned the proposal for revision, and Holly has posted an updated pitch.
