It appears the site was designed mobile first? Because it doesn't clash there, and many of the other critiques also are improved there.
Good on getting something up for this week though!
I like the blue / the palette over all.

The text on Apple web site is in line with the above standard. It's hard to understand how the text on community site becomes so exaggerated.
Swift is a powerful and intuitive programming language for all Apple platforms. It’s easy to get started using Swift, with a concise-yet-expressive syntax and modern features you’ll love. Swift code is safe by design and produces software that runs lightning fast.
I'm glad many people like the new design, which is an indication of the project's success. I personally find the new design is too flashy, which makes it hard to focus on content. I like the old web site much more. It was easy to read and had a similar design style as Apple and Github web sites.

please do not maliciously quote fragments of my posts. i was referring to common tropes used in television advertisements for cosmetics, not the content on the Swift website.
if you ask me, taking someone’s words out of context to claim they were saying something completely different than they actually did is far more dishonest than exaggerating the capabilities of a hair care product, or a programming language.
it's unfortunate that the analytics script causing cmd-click to not open links in a new tab hasn't been fixed in the redesign, something that has been an issue for at least 7 years. better luck next redesign, i guess
