Hi @mirza-garibovic, check out Si's comment here, which I think summarizes that well: [SOAR-0013] Idiomatic naming strategy by czechboy0 · Pull Request #683 · apple/swift-openapi-generator · GitHub
Thanks to everyone who has contributed feedback so far, both here and on the pull request.
My summary of the feedback is that people are in favour of the feature but would like to see some amendments.
Firstly, a stronger stance on avoiding underscores, i.e. not using them to replace some characters that may carry more semantic meaning than word-separation.
Secondly, to better handle recapitalisation in the presence of acronyms, e.g. HTTP; and other use of deliberate casing, e.g. iOS.
While the proposal does offer an explicit override for those wanting finer grained control over the naming, we'd like to try and accommodate this feedback into this proposal.
As such, @Honza_Dvorsky will post an updated proposal shortly. After that, we'll extend the review period for this proposal.
Ok folks, here's the diff of the latest proposal changes (version 1.2): [SOAR-0013] Idiomatic naming strategy by czechboy0 · Pull Request #683 · apple/swift-openapi-generator · GitHub
We'll give y'all a few more days to review the updated version.

The review period for this proposal has now concluded—a big thank you to everyone who provided feedback!
Given the positive reception for the feature and the evolution of the proposal in line with the feedback received, this proposal is now Ready for Implementation.
Pushed a revision of the proposal: v1.3: 73fd986
These changes are the result of needing to further clarify a few points that came up during implementation.
