I concur, I only work with HTMLX these days. HTML has too many compatibility issues and quirks that makes modifying it frustrating and error prone.

I can't help but notice that you are likely talking about a very different things. HTMLX is hard to google, there seem to exist a few projects with that label. Can you provide a link of what you are referring to?

On the other hand, HTMX does not really help with the quirks of HTML, it rather embraces the "living standard" status-quo of it all I would say.

HTMX seems to have gain popularity recently with a lot of serverside web frameworks, allowing you to make traditional Multi-Page Applications (MPAs) with the better user experience of Single-Page Applications (SPAs).
