# Exploring Multicore Concurrency for Embedded Swift

I would advise holding this off for a bit as I'm overhauling this part for multi-threaded WASIp1 support. Our PRs will likely conflict if you put up something right now.

Yes, that's the status code with Unicode tables already. It could be addressed with [availability domains](https://forums.swift.org/t/pitch-embedded-unicode-availability-domain-for-apis-requiring-the-unicode-tables/84143) in the future.

IIUC there are embedded platforms without clocks, where no acceptable fallback is available.

Noted! I’ve commented on the PR. I’ll pause work on this and wait for it to land.

In the meantime, I’ll switch gears. I think I can work on a couple of concrete PAL implementations for Pico and ESP32.
