If—as I understand it—this differs from how other languages handle regex matching, this could be surprising for folks in a very likely scenario which we are frankly inviting: applying a regular expression they find on Stack Overflow which has been reliably vetted to a Swift String, relying on the fact that Swift supports the same regular expression features as other languages, only to find they obtain a different result.
