# \[Accepted\] SE-0482: Binary Static Library Dependencies

The implementation in [SE-0482](https://github.com/swiftlang/swift-evolution/blob/main/proposals/0482-swiftpm-static-library-binary-target-non-apple-platforms.md) are two PRs, one still in draft, but neither merged - and [the release branch for 6.2](https://forums.swift.org/t/swift-6-2-release-process/78371) has already been cut.

I personally wouldn't expect to see this hit until at least Swift 6.3, and that's assuming that there aren't additional complications found during final implementation and merging all this into place.
