A new energetic and eager student to work on Swift Compiler development project

Hello :))
Hope this finds you all well.

I'm an undergrad. student, major is in computer engineering. I'm too eager to contribute to open source projects, and I find contributing and working on Apple's Swift compiler project is something challenging and great for me.

But honestly, I don't know from where to start and how to start?
Would someone please provide just some help for me as I'm still beginning?
I have a good knowledge in C++

Thanks so much for your time.
Hope everyone's safe.

But honestly, I don't know from where to start and how to start?

Read the README, particularly the section on contributing and its links, and try building the toolchain. Learn the language, if you don't know it already. Dive in with a couple of the 180 starter bugs on the bug tracker, whatever you find interesting and doable.

If you have any questions, search the forum to see if the issue has come up before and if not, open a thread asking about it. If you get going now, you may be ready to apply for Swift GSoC next year.

Since I don't know how much you know about these topics already, I can only point you to these resources to figure that out yourself and ask further questions here once you hit an obstacle.
